Aside from that orange patch, the shoe looks quite nice. I hope they get discounted as fast as the version 2 did, because 190 euro is absolutely ridiculous.
Very personal but I kinda like the orange patch. Other than that, fully with you re the price and discounts
Yes for a non plated shoe with technology (zoom x ) that already existed... way too pricey
I love the orange patch! Gives it some flair
They are inferior training shoes to many other high cushioned choices so no worries. They will be on sale quickly. Ohhh also don’t wear Nike they are horrible to do business with.
40% off at Nike Singapore right now.
Amazing runners. The Full Max comfort is no joke, especially for big guys like me. I understand what people mean with the heel slippage, but after tying the knot all the way through, I never had that issue. Wearing these shoes make me look forward to my runs.
I like that you mentioned "keep in mind it's winter time HERE". Little thing, but I've noticed almost all running RUclipsrs are in the northern hemisphere, and so we sit here watching sweater and jacket reviews in 40°C heat 😅. Just nice that you acknowledge other countries exist.
Although I haven’t tried it on I like this shoe. My only issue is cosmetic, meaning that the midsole color suggests that it may eventually turn a bit yellowish. But, since I’m an Alpha Fly devotee, this would meet me somewhere in the middle for walking and running! ✅
Just got them and had the heel slip. I found just lacing them in every hole solved that 100%. Perfect for me now and love them
If yall are looking for a similar max cushion shoe , I recommend the triumph 20. It's not as bouncy as zoomx foam but nothing is tbh.
Good question for you. How does this compare to the Asics Nimbus 25?
Good question indeed! This is softer and more extreme in terms of cushioning. The Nimbus 25 has a better fit and comfort and a ride where the runner is more in charge, if that makes sense. Thanks a lot for your comment
How would you compare / differentiate these from the nimbus 25
Thanks for the video !
I love the v2. Even when just walking it's like bouncing around on marshmallow clouds. The fit is big though - I downsized half a size from normal.
They might go on discount possibly if that’s the case. Sometimes people return them because sizing and leads to returns and Nike outlet price cut the price
Nice review really detailed !
Sounds like nike is going for an easy day only shoe, kind of like a rest day alphafly (top tier expencive shoe)
Thanks for your nice comment, Nikola. This is exactly it.
Thank you for your honest review, I like your crucial point of view. New doesn’t mean better
Alex, thanks for the nice video! Since you said version 3 is less bouncy than version 1, do you think it’s a different ZoomX foam or something else that makes it less bouncy?
I think it's the same ZoomX foam but the increased rigidity in the heel and midfoot make it less wild and "fun" - hope this makes sense. Thanks a lot for your comment
@@AlexFilitti they added a strobel board which they didn't in the last two which makes a big difference.
I have the V2 and it's a really comfy easy day option. Super durable too. If I may add on the heel slippage matter, I used to have heel slippage on the Pegasus 36, Novablast, Peg Turbo, etc. and had to use the heel-lock lacing (I never liked it). Recently, I consciously changed my running form and found that the heel slippage is no more. I removed all the heel-lock lacing in all the same shoes and now enjoy running in them more using the normal lacing. Just sth for you to consider.
Great review! Thanks again!
Thanks for the nice comment, Quentin!
Thanks for your honest and helpful review. Less heel padding more heel slippinge.
Yes, fellow viewers! Like he said, please let me know how it fits for wide (or normal) feet once these are out. Terrified of Nike narrowness crushing my feet into ballerina toes… but once in a while they make one that is acceptable.
Honestly I don't see this one working for wide feet...but looking forward to the community's feedback here
It’s narrower than invincible 1/2.
I usually don't have a problem with the toebox, Nike is often too narrow in the midfoot for me.
@@theghostofpcs2391I was about to buy this then cancelled after seeing these comments.. I hate Nike making too narrow shoes especially in the midfoot area.
@@ser1ification Even though I love the first Invincible, because it's the only shoe I can run in when my knee gives me trouble, I can typically only run up to about 5 km in Nike shoes before I start getting cramping and/or numbness...
After watching this, will be sticking to my Novablast 3s, was interested to see if this Invicible 3 would be a shoe worth trying but I now know that it is definitely not :))
Happy that this video helped you
Thanks for the honesty despite getting the shoe "for free". Not really a fan of when Nike and other companies widen the base on new versions, I feel like it kind of mutes the ride.
How is the weight in comparison to the v1 and 2?
Heavier (+34g vs v1). Thanks a lot for your nice comment, Robin!
@@AlexFilitti Oh, quite a bit heavier:(
It would be interesting to hear how it matches up with the Gel-Nimbus 25 and or Novablast 3
I got the gel nimbus 25 and have Invincibles ver 2 and 1. I would take the nimbus any day over the invincible
Bonkers price and not worth the upgrade if you can buy any of the older versions?
Thanks for the review! I ordered the Noosa Tri 14, arrive tomorrow. You still like them Alex?
Yep they're a heck of a great shoe. Making your feet muscles work a ton and sometimes it's needed. Honestly one of the best tempo shoes (non-plated). Shoot me a DM to share your thoughts on them ;-)
@@AlexFilitti Thanks, I will! I'll hopefully use it as a daily trainer + threshold shoe.
Ppl say what makes a super shoe is the foam not the plate. They say plate just adds stability. Curious your thoughts on this and if they added a plate in this shoe, would it suddenly make this a super shoe? It is indeed zoomX, one of the top tier foams out there.
V1 was already lil tight in forefoot. If v3 gets tighter then maybe not good. Glad they got rid out the outside padding on heal cuz totally unnecessary but if they got rid of the inside heel padding then they went too far
Ho Alex great review as always… i think that my best shoe un 2022 is the invicible V2…great fit for me … no heel slipage that i can have sometimes. No stability issue for me, a realy enjoyable shoe for me… the v3s are in my choices for next ones in 2023…but if i can buy a discounted pair of V2s i will propably go for that…i had my v2s for 96€ lol…
Ps: i’m still training for Paris ans start to be fit lol but got a little back issue…i have my rest week .. Hope to have a good recovery 😅😊👏👏👏🇫🇷
Thanks a lot Francky!! Vas voir un ostéo ou un kiné et ne laisse pas traîner ;-)) On se voit à Paris!
I want to buy it (love the women’s color ways) but I had heel slippage despite using the runner’s loop😢.
The heel slippage is horrible with this shoe.
Hello Alex, one question, compairing these shoes with the Zoom 5, what do you think?
I went with these the zoomx is softer than my vaporfly and the stability is better with a little more weight but not a lot more great shoe super bounce.
Nimbus 25 or invincible 3 that's the debate?
The two are valid good options. Very different which is perfect to address different needs and preferences ;-)
V2 was clearly firmer, it’s not the same ZoomX flavour than in v1. I hope that v3 goes back to the good one.
Btw, what about that band aid in your finger? Gives you luck or something? Haha
Invincible 3 vs. Nimbus 25 showdown please.
The v2 was snugger then v1 in the toe box too so I was considering sizing up but there’s no half size up in my size
But Might try the full size up in the 3 as well as my normal size and then just keep the one that fits best
I felt the v2 felt roomier in the toe box then the v1. I should’ve went down half a size in the v2
@@michaeltran2743 very strange as like I said I had the complete opposite experience.
I preferred the fit of the v1
Maybe the fit in the toe box is different from size to size or something that’s the only way could explain it
If you go half or full up, can you please write me a message or email and let me know how it worked for you? Thanks a lot!!
@@AlexFilitti yeah of course no problem. like I say unfortunately il have to go a full size up as there isn’t a half size up in my size but I think it’s worth trying and I can always send them back if there too big
@@steveh8758 exact same for me, nikes are usually too narrow in the toes for my feet but there is no half size for me so I've ordered 1 size up, hoping it isn't too big and I don't have to send them back
Is it slick on wet surfaces, typically wet concrete? Cos I slipped badly in previous model
I'm skeptical about the new V3. I love the versions 1 and 2. I have a handfull. Best for a heavy built runner. This is a brand new designed shoe. Why? I don't like the new sock collar and the outsole where rocks and gravel get stuck. Also too expensive. I will try to buy the V2 on discount.
I ask again, why are Nike daily trainer running shoes so notorious for heel slip? Tho the OG Invincible and ver. 2 we're actually good with heel security
OG and v2 were really good in terms of heel lockdown. I don't really have any answer to your overall question. I also have some Nike shoes in mind with good heel lockdowns. Alphafly v2 for instance. Thanks a lot for your comment
Yeah, they really improved it by making it less fun. Great job!
I usually use size 31 cm with wide midfoot, should i upsize?
Est-ce qu’elle se sent plus lourdes et encombrantes que la nimbus 25 ? Le poids est-il bien réparti ?
Merci bcp pour tes reviews
Is it better than Endorphin Speed 3, and Adidas Boston 11?
Very different shoes and purposes. If I were to choose one out of the three you mentioned, it would be the Endorphin Speed.
Is it true to size?
Je vais profiter des soldes sur les versions 2. Merci
Avec plaisir! Bonne soirée.
Judging from your experience and other comments. It seems this one is a tighter fit. I guess I'll go 1/2 size up. I'm a size 10 so I'll get 10.5... I did the same for my pegasus 39 and got a 10.5 so it's perfect. I have wide feet too so snug fit running shoes always ended up hurting my feet.
Is the rubber as noisy as V2?
Yes!
When are Nike going to widen the forefoot? Most other brands have done it with success
looks kinda cheap compared to the Superblast as another non-plated superfoam shoe but still too expensive, I got my v1 for 120 € or so and that is fair for me. But hey, every object is worth what the market aka enough of us are willing to pay, I guess Nike will continue what they do with v1/2, Vaporfly and others, ask for a ton but discount on a regular basis to get the more price sensitive people too, just gotta wait a bit. I terms of stability I find v1 quite OK, no problems despite mild stability needs on my side.
Exactly, the MSRP is not the price you need to pay and everyone can wait a bit to get this one. Curious how the ride will feel for your on this one if v1 was ok in terms of stability.
this or nimbus 25?
These are the most perfect shoes for me. I will NOT buy another pair of sneakers other than future versions of these shoes.
People love to be negative, but I'm excited and think they did a good job. Nice review
I'm trying to be honest and constructive in my criticism. I'm sorry if any of this sounded negative ;-) Thanks a lot for your comment
I got the V2 for €80...wait for the discount..
Yep!!
For some unknown reason this shoe from Nike is 20% to 30% more expensive then an Asics Gel-Nimbus 25 , NB Fresh Foam More V4 or an Ultraboost 23 in Brazil.
I will wait for a Pegasus 40 or a Vomero 17 from Nike . This Invincible line seems dull , not durable enough, not stable enough and too expensive.
Well this is tricky because it's actually cheaper than the Nimbus 25 here in the EU. But I get your point and I also look forward to discovering the Vomero 17 :-)
Yes, the more v4 is heavily discounted, even here in Europe (where we seem to have the most expensive running shoes..). The nimbus 25 is 200 euro though.
The heel slippage has been reported by several people on the runningshoe sub reddit. Makes me think these are not worth $180...and it also gained weight...nike messed w a perfect formula and took some steps backwards. This will be a pass for me. Sucks because I was so excited! Love the new look
It probably won't work for me then, because I already have heel slip in almost all of my shoes on my left foot.
Disagree with both of you. I’ve had the chance to test these over the last 6 months since my school is sponsored by Nike. There is slight heel slippage, but completely ruling the shoe out because of that is a little ridiculous. The are heavier than the 1 and 2, but these feel less clunky than the previous versions. I loved the 1 and 2, and so far I’ve been loving the 3.
@@patitoduck123 If I'm interested in the shoe (at a heavy discount), I will totally send it back if I can't get a secure lockdown. Especially with an unstable shoe like the Invincible. But heel slip isn't the only issue I have with Nike shoes, even though I do like the first Invincible. Nike needs to step up it's game. They might still have the best racers, the rest of their line-up is falling behind.
I can see the heel slip when you run 🙄
Good if you can see it on the 360 footage! Thanks for mentioning it
Thanks for the review! IMO, this seems like an another miss from Nike (e.g Alphafly 1 vs Alphafly 2). I was hoping Invincible 3 would be like lighter while having more cushion (e.g.: Novblast 2 to Novablast 3), but alas this is not the case.
better for us plantar fasciitis runners
Especially good at parties Nike, less in shoes.. 🙂
I mean the shoe is good, I'm trying the be honest and constructive in my criticism as always ;-)
@@AlexFilitti Keep up your good work, well done!!
I DESERVES THAT GIVEAWAY HERE
Even wider base with a narrowed upper? I assume to improve stability, but that means no for me.
Thanks for the rewiew and from what I hear the shoe has gained weight, is less bouncy and responsive. I currently have model 1 for me it's amazing. I'm also 11 US and they weigh 320-323 grams. They only give them for recovery training but 10 days ago I involuntarily improvised a half, not flat (140 meters difference in altitude) at a pace of less than 4.15 min/km.
In my opinion you can safely run a 10 km at 4 or slightly below. Nike wanted to weigh it down and make it more stable to catch more runners, but I won't buy the 3. I land on heels so I love these shoes with a soft and responsive midsole. In fact I'm on my third pair of Novablast that I've used from 10km to 6h of running. I would have loved to test the Invincible in an Ironman marathon but with my shoulder I've been absent for 3 years....
I really loved 4mm drop. Can't understand why the went up so much.
Never been a 4mm drop.
@@FatUglySadMan V1 for sure
@@Pietrotherunningfarmer had 3 pairs v1 was 9mm
@@FatUglySadMan my bad! 🙌
@@Pietrotherunningfarmer not at all, have a nice day :)
hi sir,do you wanna do some sneaker collaborate?
I feel they are going to go the fashion route with this shoe and future iterations will be less and less functional 😢
Great for walking
Someone have to find a way to remove the UGLY swoosh from the toes.... Maybe with heat. I feel like a walking Nike advertisement. 😝
Haha well maybe heat. All shoes have brand logos on them, and they are getting bigger and bigger nowadays. I don't really mind personally but I understand it may not work for everyone.
Why did Nike design the first 2 iterations the way they did??? They're both really ugly and have pointless features. The cushioning on the OUTSIDE of the heel collar??? The excess zoomx on the heel??? It's not like they don't how to make a stylish shoe. Is it just so they have stuff to improve later knowing we'd buy them anyway because of the zoomx foam?
I believe the cushion outside is to give a bit more structure to the heel cup rather than actually providing cushioning. There are better ways to do the same. It probably helped with heel lock situation. This one does not have that and so more prone to slipping due to lack of structure. At least they kept the extra hole or heel lock loop lacing. Original Infinity Run has a very similar upper but lacked the extra hole to remedy the heel situation.
sounds like a downgrade...like they went for a fashion shoe or something
I wouldn't call it a downgrade but just a more consensual shoe
@@AlexFilitti like from Speed 2 to 3.
No it not a downgrade! Relax!
most people bought it for lifestyle so this is better
So..bad upper fit. Heel movement. Very very heavy. Sounds not that good
Hmmm less bounce less fun, higher price, yeah right. Better Stock up on v2s if you like the invincible. This Sounds like a ruined v3 :(
Well it's not a ruined shoe, I'm sure it will be many runners' favorite daily trainer ;-) Thanks a lot for your comment
